First Impressions of Articulate’s AI Assistant
First Impressions of Articulate’s AI Assistant Why AI Built for eLearning Changes Everything AI is everywhere these days — from writing emails to generating images, creating videos, and more. We all know tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL·E, Grammarly, Synthesia, and plenty more. They’ve quickly become part of our daily workflows — or at least, they have in mine! But if you’ve ever tried using these tools to help build an eLearning course, you’ve probably noticed something… They’re smart — but they don’t really get what we do. That’s
Emphasis Animations in Articulate Storyline
Emphasis Animations in Articulate Storyline E-Learning Challenge #449 invited participants to explore how emphasis animations can be used to grab learners' attention. Inspired by a YouTube video from David Anderson, the idea emerged to create a custom drag-and-drop interaction—with a twist. The interaction revolves around sorting statements about Articulate Storyline by dragging them onto either a Correct or Incorrect target. Instead of relying on Storyline’s built-in drag-and-drop functionality, a manual approach was chosen to gain full control over the learner experience. This allowed for tailored feedback and smoother
Pop-Out Images in E-Learning
Pop-Out Images in E-Learning For Articulate’s E-Learning Challenge #502, I wanted to try something a little different with the character pop-out effect. Instead of using a character, I went with a 3D-style image of a classic yellow cab popping out of a photo frame. The idea was to give the design a sense of movement and depth—almost like the cab is driving right off the screen. Getting Inspired and Setting Up the Scene To kick things off, I did a bit of inspiration browsing and landed on a
The New E-Learning Challenge Process: Why It’s a Game-Changer
The New E-Learning Challenge Process: Why It’s a Game-Changer If you're an e-Learning developer — new or experienced — there’s no better way to build your portfolio, connect with an amazing community, or grow your skills than by joining the E-Learning Challenges. For years, the process was simple: each week, David Anderson posted a new e-Learning topic. You’d create your entry, share it in the comments, and join the lively conversation with other participants. It was fun, informal, and inspiring. A few weeks ago, the process got even
Meet the New Morph Transition in Articulate Storyline
Meet the New Morph Transition in Articulate Storyline If you’re an e-learning developer, you know how important smooth, engaging transitions can be. That’s why I’m excited about Articulate’s latest update: the brand-new Morph transition for Storyline! Morph brings a whole new level of polish to your slides by intelligently animating objects from one state to another. Instead of abrupt jumps or simple fades, you can now create fluid, professional-looking animations that feel almost cinematic. Whether you're moving shapes, text, or images, the Morph transition automatically calculates the movement,
Introducing Free Snippets for Articulate Storyline
Introducing Free Snippets for Articulate Storyline I’m excited to share a free resource designed to help e-learning developers and instructional designers work faster and smarter. I know firsthand how time-consuming it can be to build custom interactions, troubleshoot tricky triggers, or integrate JavaScript into Articulate Storyline. That’s why I’m starting to share free snippets—a growing library designed to save you time, simplify your workflow, and enhance your courses. What Are Snippets? Snippets are small but powerful pre-built interactions, JavaScript codes, and templates that you can easily integrate
